While working as a Real Estate agent one of the things most important to me is maintaining my ethics. One of the ways this translates is having a great self understanding of my skills, my abilities and also my limitations and knowing if you need help in an area I am not an expert that its my responsibility to help you find the expert who can best assist you, whether that means a recommendation of an amazing carpenter, a skilled mortgage broker, or even another real estate agent in an area I do not cover. Here I lay out the areas where I can help, and also how I can support you in finding other help when what you’re looking for is beyond my personal scope.
- I am a licensed Real Estate Agent in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts, this means I can help you with buying or selling property anywhere in either of these states. There are some areas of MA that I do not know as well as others (particularly the western areas of the state) and in those situations I am always glad to refer you to a colleague I trust to be sure you are getting an agent who can provide you with the best support possible.
- If you are not in need of an agent but have someone you know who is (in MA or RI) I always welcome referrals. Please feel free to pass my info on, especially in situations where someone is looking for an agent who will be knowledgeable, compassionate, ethical and will stay by their side through the entire real estate journey.
- If you or someone you know is looking to buy or sell elsewhere (and I truly mean anywhere) I am a trained referral agent. What this means is, if you (or someone you know) want to reach out to me for help with your real estate transaction in Florida, California, Canada, Tanzania or anywhere else…. I will meet with you (in person or virtually) to learn about your needs, get to know you and what you are looking for, and I will then leverage my network to reach out, interview and identify an agent in the area you are looking, who can support you in your transaction. (this is a service I provide at no cost to you, to be sure you find someone great to work with) Some have told me in the past that they “don’t want to bother me” with a search elsewhere. I PROMISE, it is no bother. I love helping folks find a fantastic agent to work with and knowing you’re being taken care of.
- If you are toying with the idea of selling but just aren’t there yet… I am glad to offer a complimentary CMA (Cross Market Analysis) where I will come to your home, talk to you, view your property, learn about any improvements you have made, and will then research similar properties that have sold recently. I’ll follow up by putting together a report that you will receive which outlines the current market value of your property with comparable examples. Often this information can be crucial in deciding if selling is the right choice for you at this time, and helps to set an expectation of what profit you would be able to make if you do decide to sell.
- For those who would LOVE to buy or sell, but feel overwhelmed at the entire concept or have been burned by other realtors, I am always glad to just grab a cup of coffee and talk through the process (no commitment or expectations). As a former educator I always want anyone who is considering working with me to enter into that relationship informed, and comfortable. If someone has ever told you “come back and talk to me in a year” or “after you save $……” I am here to help you get some clearer answers and make an action plan of how to get to that point, or to give you a second opinion if the info you received is even correct.
- If you are looking to figure out exactly how much you can afford on a property, I work with an amazing team of mortgage specialists and can find just the right one for you to work with. All of the Mortgage Brokers I work with ALWAYS start with a “soft pull” pre-qualification that does not affect your credit score or get you onto 100 calling/email lists. They are specialists who can explore Conventional, FHA, VA loans and more as well as helping to find first time homebuyer or downpayment assistance programs when useful.
